I qualified as Social Worker in 1998 and am proud to say that I am still registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England. My practitioner and middle management career was mainly in Adult Mental Health & Commissioning both in Local Government and NHS .
I am neurodivergent as I have Dyspraxia, which is a specific learning difference and I had a total knee replacement in 2019. I have been very aware of discrimination due to race in my career. I have family members who have experienced age, gender and racial discrimination.
I am passionate about EDI and the Diverse by Design (PCH) project gives us an opportunity to shine a light on the real experiences of our colleagues in Adult Social Care.
